FG to Embark on Massive Road Repair Project Nationwide – Lawmaker

The Federal Government, under President Bola Tinubu, is gearing up to rehabilitate federal roads across the country as part of efforts to ease the hardships faced by Nigerians, according to Aderemi Oseni, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA). Oseni made this announcement on Monday during a visit to the Oyo State secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan.

Oseni, who represents the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, highlighted the poor state of federal roads and emphasized that the Tinubu administration is committed to addressing the nation’s infrastructural challenges through its “Renewed Hope Agenda.” He urged Nigerians to remain patient as the government works to resolve these longstanding issues.

“President Tinubu is not responsible for the current challenges, including the deteriorating state of our roads. These are problems that have accumulated over time, but he is focused on fixing them. His administration is making every effort to repair federal roads nationwide and relieve the burden on the people,” Oseni said.

During his visit, Oseni also offered condolences to the APC over the recent death of the party’s Chairman, Isaac Omodewu. He expressed gratitude to party members for their support during his electoral campaign and urged them to remain united as they prepare for future elections.

The lawmaker donated ₦10 million to support the party’s operations and called on APC executives to devise a strategy that would ensure the party’s victory in the 2027 elections.

In response, Olayide Abas, the acting Chairman of the APC in Oyo State, thanked Oseni for his visit and commended him for his dedication to the development of his constituency.
