BREAKING: Enugu Governor Increases Minimum Wage to ₦80,000

The Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has approved an ₦80,000 minimum wage for workers in the state, with immediate effect.

Gists9ja reports that Governor Mbah made the announcement at the Lion Building while receiving the report from the committee tasked with reviewing the state’s minimum wage.

“Today, I am pleased to announce a new minimum wage of ₦80,000 for workers in Enugu State, reflecting our unwavering commitment to their welfare,” Governor Mbah stated.

He emphasized that the decision is rooted in his administration’s belief that labor is a key driver of wealth creation. “When workers are well cared for, they can help generate prosperity for the state,” he added.
