The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zamfara Axis has expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to restoring peace and security in Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole. The organization applauded the president’s relentless dedication to safeguarding the lives and welfare of all Nigerians, especially in regions plagued by insecurity.
NANS acknowledged President Tinubu’s strong resolve to address security challenges and praised his leadership in bolstering the Nigerian Army, recognizing the courage and sacrifices made by security personnel nationwide.
In an official statement signed by Comrade Abdullahi Isiyaku Gusau (Abdul I.G), Vice Chairman of Campus Affairs for NANS Zamfara Axis, the association extended its commendation to the Honourable Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
NANS appreciated Minister Badaru’s tireless efforts to restore peace in Zamfara, citing his recent visit to the state as a testament to his dedication. The Minister’s proactive approach to addressing Zamfara’s security needs was highlighted as a key step towards fostering peace in the region.
Furthermore, NANS Zamfara Axis expressed gratitude to the Governor of Zamfara State for his unwavering support of security agencies, which has contributed to maintaining peace and stability in the state. The organization recognized the governor’s dedication to the welfare of Zamfara’s citizens and his active involvement in ensuring the safety of communities across the state.
The NANS Zamfara Axis also urged all Nigerian students and residents of Zamfara to support security personnel by cooperating with authorities. This includes reporting the activities of bandits and their informants, refraining from supplying goods or services to bandit groups, and promoting peaceful coexistence. They also called on religious leaders to continue offering prayers for lasting peace in Zamfara State and across Nigeria.
Additionally, NANS Zamfara Axis announced plans to foster collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, aimed at enhancing security measures in Zamfara State and promoting harmony among students and local communities.
