Blueprint for Progress: “2025 Budget to Transform Zamfara” – Commissioner

Zamfara State’s Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Abdulmalik Gajam, has announced that the 2025 budget is strategically designed to advance a “New Zamfara.”

Speaking at a one-day stakeholder town hall meeting organized by the state Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Gajam emphasized that the budget aligns with Governor Dauda Lawal’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, which focuses on transformative development across Zamfara.

Held on Saturday at the JB Yakubu Secretariat in Gusau, the meeting aimed to outline a holistic development strategy for the state’s future. Gajam explained that this approach ensures the budget is closely aligned with the priorities of Zamfara’s citizens, placing an emphasis on improving livelihoods and addressing critical needs throughout the state.

In his address, Gajam revealed that the 2025 budget proposal, set at ₦426 billion, marks a substantial increase over the previous year’s budget, a rise attributed to enhanced revenue generation and a clampdown on financial leakages. He described the budgetary framework as “promising and designed to shift the narrative toward a brighter future for Zamfara’s residents.”
