Tinubu’s Daughter Appointed Ambassador for Almajiri, Out-of-School Children’s Education

Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, the daughter of President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria’s Iyaloja-General, has been named the Ambassador for the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education. The announcement was made by the Commission’s Executive Secretary, Muhammad Sani Idris, during a visit to Tinubu-Ojo’s residence in Lagos, according to reports by The Guardian.

In a statement issued by the Commission’s spokesperson, Nura Muhammad, Idris noted that Tinubu-Ojo’s dedication to uplifting disadvantaged communities, particularly Almajiri and out-of-school children, influenced her selection for this role. He also commended her longstanding contributions to “promoting trade and commerce” and advocating for increased resources for market women.

Accepting the role, Tinubu-Ojo expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am deeply honored by this appointment and am committed to alleviating the plight of these vulnerable Nigerians.” She emphasized her father’s dedication to education, describing it as “a lasting legacy for Nigerian children.”

Additionally, Tinubu-Ojo lauded the Executive Secretary, offering her prayers for his success in leading the commission’s efforts.
