Zamfara Civil Servants Rejoice Over Unexpected October Salary Increase

In a welcome development, civil servants in Zamfara State have received a significant increase in their October salaries, as the state government implemented the full ₦30,000 minimum wage. This marks a notable shift for state employees, who had previously been receiving a basic minimum wage of just ₦7,000, and in recent years, a minimal ₦30,000 without a structured salary scale.

The salary adjustment, which came as a surprise, follows Governor Dauda Lawal’s pledge to improve workers’ welfare.
