Controversial crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, has finally departed Nigeria, sharing the news with fans and followers through a video posted this morning. In the clip, Bobrisky is seen aboard an aircraft, captioning the post with, “See you soon Nigeria.”
This update follows days of legal tension after Bobrisky was arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on an Amsterdam-bound flight. His detention stemmed from allegations that he failed to respond to a summons related to an ongoing investigation. The EFCC alleges that Bobrisky attempted to bribe operatives with ₦15 million to drop pending money laundering charges against him.
Bobrisky, however, was released over the weekend after he maintained that he never made any bribery attempt, challenging the basis of the accusations. As of now, he has not made further comments on the investigation but is expected to return to Nigeria at a later date.
