BREAKING: Tinubu Appoints Former Atiku Spokesperson as Media Aide

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr. Daniel Bwala, former spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign, as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications (State House). The announcement was made on Thursday through a statement by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.

Alongside Bwala’s appointment, Tinubu named three new directors-general for key national agencies. These appointments include:

  • Mr. Olawale Olopade as Director-General, National Sports Commission
  • Dr. Abisoye Fagade as Director-General, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism
  • Dr. Adebowale Adedoku as Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement

The Presidency highlighted Bwala’s background as a lawyer and a well-known public affairs analyst, positioning him as a strong choice for the role.

In a related appointment, Olopade, the new Director-General of the National Sports Commission, brings a wealth of experience as a seasoned sports administrator. His previous roles include serving as Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun State and chairing the organizing committee of the 2024 National Sports Festival.

Dr. Abisoye Fagade, appointed Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, is a recognized marketing communications professional and founder of Sodium Brand Solutions.

Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, was formerly the bureau’s Director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning.

President Tinubu urged all newly appointed officers to serve with dedication, patriotism, and excellence.
