Zamfara Governor Lawal Approves 25 New Appointments

In order to enhance the operations of the government for effective service delivery to the people, Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the appointment of twenty-five qualified citizens as Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Head of Agencies, Boards and Parastatals of government.

Announcing the development on Wednesday, the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government (SSG), Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada said the appointment takes immediate effect.

In a statement issued by Suleman Ahmad Tudu, Senior Special Assistant on Media, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, releases the appointments list as follows:

1. Nura Suraj – Special Adviser to the Governor, Human Capital Development

2. Aliyu Adamu Baro – Special Adviser to the Governor, Sustainable Development Goals

3. Iliyasu B. Maijega – Special Adviser to the Governor, Political Matters

4. Shehu Ahmed – Special Adviser to the Governor, Legislative Matters

5. Mahdi Bala – Senior Special Assistant, Youth Mobilization

6. Lawwali Abdulrazak Kaya – Senior Special Assistant, Political Matters

7. Abdulsamiu Kwatarkwashi – Senior Special Assistant, Job Creation

8. Sama’ila F. Ahmad – Senior Special Assistant, Community Relations

9. Babangida Alto – Senior Special Assistant, Human Capital

10. Ibrahim Abdullahi Dankadu – Senior Special Assistant, Sustainable Development Goals

11. Yahaya Giwa – Senior Special Assistant, Legislative Matters

12. Yahaya Garba – Managing Director, Zamfara State Water Corporation

13. Yusuf Sani – Program Manager, ZSUBEB

14. Mujtaba Namadi – Executive Director, Zamfara Internal Revenue Service

15. Lukman Jafar Morai – Permanent Commissioner, Zamfara State Hajj Commission

16. Ibrahim Mai-Mai Maradun – Board Member, Zamfara State Hajj Commission

17. Aminu Atiku Zurmi – Permanent Commissioner, Local Government Service Commission

18. Shehu Buda – Executive Director, Pension Board

19. Bello Halilu – Executive Director, Pension Board

20. Kabiru Habibu – Executive Secretary, Forestry Management Agency

21. Isiyaka Majasirdi – Chairman, Board of Survey

22. Nasiru Aliyu Zurmi – Permanent Commissioner, Civil Service Commission

23. Mal. Mustapha Na’a – Board Member, Zamfara State Hisbah Commission

24. Junaidu Isah Bingi – Executive Secretary, Agency for Nomadic Education

25. Engr Bello Sani Gusau – Executive Secretary, Zamfara State Fire Service

Governor Lawal anticipates the appointees to bring their wealth of experience and work with integrity to reposition their various places of primary assignments in line with the rescue agenda of the administration.
