In a decisive outcome, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially announced Governor Douye Diri of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the triumphant winner of the recent governorship election held in Bayelsa State on Saturday.
The final results indicate a substantial victory for Governor Diri, with the PDP securing a total of 175,196 votes. In contrast, the All Progressives Congress (APC) garnered 110,108 votes.
This announcement solidifies Governor Douye Diri’s mandate, reflecting the will of the people as expressed through their votes. As the dust settles on the electoral process, Bayelsa State anticipates the continuation of governance under the leadership of Governor Diri.
