President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, has revealed that the president is still in the process of recovering from a knee surgery he underwent in London.
In an interview with the Nigerian Tribune addressing Tinubu’s health, Onanuga clarified, “No, he was not sick. Tinubu was in excellent health leading up to that election. About a year before the campaign, he underwent knee surgery, a fact not concealed, as President Buhari visited him in London during his recovery.”
“He is still nursing the recovery because it was a significant surgery. It’s not related to any other health issues,” Onanuga explained.
Tinubu underwent knee surgery in London in 2021, preceding the commencement of the general election campaign.
