Tragic Death of Young Lady After Smoking “Colos”

In a tragic incident, a young lady, yet to be identified, passed away in Anambra State after reportedly consuming Colorado, a psychotropic substance commonly referred to as “Colos,” a term derived from the slang “On Colos.”

The incident occurred in Awka, the state capital, over the weekend, where the woman allegedly exhibited erratic behavior after consuming the drug before succumbing to the effects.

A circulating video and accompanying eyewitness account on social media detail the woman’s unconscious state and erratic behavior, including public nudity, following the consumption of the dangerous substance.

Despite efforts by bystanders to assist her by providing clothing and food to mitigate the effects, the woman reportedly consumed Colorado again, leading to her collapse and eventual demise.

Her body was later identified and retrieved by family members, underscoring the tragic consequences of drug abuse.

Daniel Onyishi, the State Commandant of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Anambra, emphasized the dangers of drug abuse, particularly the addictive and instant effects of Colorado. He urged the public to support efforts to combat drug abuse through awareness programs and reporting of drug-related activities to the authorities.
