JUST IN: NLC President Ajaero Reveals Real Reason Behind DSS Arrest

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has disclosed the details surrounding his recent detention by the Department of State Services (DSS) at Abuja airport. Ajaero, who was detained on Monday morning while en route to a Trade Union Congress (TUC) event in the United Kingdom, was released later that night on bail. However, his international passport has been seized as part of the conditions for his release.

In an interview with The Guardian, Ajaero explained that his arrest was linked to allegations of terrorism financing involving a British national, Andrew Wynne. He further revealed that the authorities questioned him about his involvement in the #EndBadGovernance protests that took place nationwide in August.

The DSS has also summoned Ajaero and the Secretary-General of the NLC, Emmanuel Ugboaja, for further questioning later in the month.
