The Zamfara State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has declared its unwavering support for Boniface Aniebonam, the party’s founder and leader, distancing itself from the faction led by Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Addressing the party’s executive members during a weekend meeting, the state’s Acting Chairman, Isiaka Tinau, reaffirmed that the NNPP in Zamfara is solely aligned with Aniebonam’s leadership. He emphasized the chapter’s commitment to the growth and development of the party in the state.
“We in Zamfara State have no affiliation whatsoever with the Senator Kwankwaso faction. We stand firmly behind the founder of the party, Aniebonam,” Tinau stated.
He also encouraged members to intensify efforts in mobilizing and sensitizing the public to garner more support for the NNPP in Zamfara.
Zonal Vice Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Sani Danmasani, echoed these sentiments, urging party officials to demonstrate greater commitment towards strengthening the party both within the state and at the national level. Danmasani expressed confidence in the NNPP’s prospects for making significant political strides in the 2027 general elections.
He further commended the Zamfara NNPP leadership for rejecting Senator Kwankwaso’s alleged attempts to destabilize the party for personal gain.
“We have clearly seen the destructive motives of Senator Kwankwaso, and we strongly oppose them,” Danmasani concluded.
