Thousands of Nigerians took to the streets of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Tuesday morning, participating in the #FearlessInOctober protest. The demonstration was aimed at expressing frustration over the growing hardship and poverty under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Protesters were seen marching through the city, chanting slogans such as “We are hungry,” while voicing their dissatisfaction with the current state of the nation. Several banners carried by the demonstrators conveyed powerful messages, including: “Bad governance has crushed the dreams of Nigerian youths – end it now,” and “Enough is enough – revolution now.”
One protester expressed the dire conditions many Nigerians are facing, saying, “We are buying fuel for ₦1,000 per liter, and you expect us to stay silent? We are hungry, and that’s why we are protesting.”
The protest highlights growing unrest amid economic challenges, as citizens demand urgent reforms and relief from rising living costs.
