President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following a two-week working vacation in the United Kingdom and Paris, France.
The President touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at around 7:20 p.m. on Saturday. Senior members of his administration were present to welcome him.
President Tinubu had embarked on the two-week vacation on Wednesday, October 2, as part of his annual leave. His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, had previously issued a statement outlining the purpose of the trip. According to Onanuga, the President was set to “use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.”
On October 11, President Tinubu briefly left the UK for Paris, where he attended a significant engagement. This was confirmed by Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters.
Welcome Reception
Upon his return, President Tinubu was received by prominent government officials, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Finance Wale Edun, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Abubakar Bagudu, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje.
