BREAKING: Ex-Gov Yahaya Bello Again Appears Before EFCC

The immediate past governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has once again appeared before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of misappropriation of public funds.

Bello honored the EFCC’s invitation on Tuesday morning, arriving at the anti-graft agency’s headquarters in Abuja, accompanied by his legal team. His appearance follows a recent Supreme Court ruling that dismissed a lawsuit filed by some state governments challenging the constitutionality of the EFCC’s powers.

The former governor reportedly drove himself to the EFCC office in a black Hilux van.

It should be recalled that during the last hearing on November 14, the EFCC had requested an adjournment until November 27, noting that the 30-day period for the summons issued against Bello was still valid.
