Hon. Hudu Yahaya Visits Orphanage Home In Zamfara

Senior Special Assistant to Zamfara State Government on Digital and New Media, Honorable Hudu Yahaya, as part of his surveillance to children, spends his free time researching nearby orphanages to visit and volunteer with.

When he came across Bungudu orphanage home located right near His Local Govenrnment Bungudu Local Government area of Zamfara State, he suddenly had an idea. Hudu’s birthday was approaching, and he decided to do something a little different to celebrate it. “I discovered that there a lot of needy children there,” he says.

“Some have never tasted cake. I felt touched by their situation and decided to celebrate my birthday with them as a sign of care and love.”

Hudu’s got in touch with the orphanage Leaders and began planning his birthday visit on 7th May 2021. Sometimes I use to bring clothes, rice, garri, and oil to these orphanages,” he says of his usual visits.

This time, his list was slightly different. “I baked a cake, made puff puff, and brought beverages.

We were all Prayed for lasting Peace in our dear State Zamfara, I danced and sang with the kids, and I asked those that were born in May to come out and take pictures with the cake.”

The children were all smiles. “It was the best birthday,” he says, “because it was full of passion for me. Seeing that I was able to put smiles on their faces with the little I could do was fulfilling”.

When he completed work, Governor Bello Matawalle hopes to work with an NGO that focuses on improving human well-being.

In the meantime, he will continue volunteering and giving whatever she can at orphanages in and around Zamfara State . This birthday celebration, however, was particularly special for him. “The children were so happy,” he says.

“They prayed for me, and when I was leaving they followed my car, shouting my name and waving.”

“I plan to do this again on other days besides my birthday,” Hudu Yahaya’s says, “but I will do it on my next birthday, too.”
