The SBY NA DODO Foundation has flagged off the distribution of food to feed at least 500 Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in various camps in the state.
The IDP who were mainly women and children expelled from their communities as a result of the atrocities of banditry in the state.
Flagging off the distribution at the Saminaka camp in Gusau the state capital of Zamfara state, members of the Foundation disclosed that the distribution of food to IDPs camps as well as some almajiri schools desperately in need of food assistance was in fulfilment of the state governor, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun promise to feed insurgency displaced persons in the state.
The SBY Foundation had embarked on the weekly distribution of food in order to put smiles on less privileged people, almajiri schools, the needy most especially to better the life of those living in the IDPs camp.
Subsequently, this is not the first time that the SBY Foundation is intervening in the governor’s commitments towards assisting less privileged people with not only food and non-food items but also with the sustainable supports for their well-being, similarly, within this week, the Foundation however, sponsored about 100 students to study various diploma courses in ZACAS Gusau.
Apart from that; It would be recalled that, just last week, the Foundation had empowered more than 500 women with a cash grant to uplift their businesses so as to become more self reliant substitutionary of solely defends on their husbands for the family’s daily affairs.
