The directive was given by the State Deputy Governor Distinguished Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau when paid an unscheduled visit to the abandoned building construction of VVF/Dialysis Centre at Unguwar Barakallahu Area in Gusau the State Capital.
This was announced by the Director General Press Affairs, Office of the Zamfara state Deputy Governor, Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi, ANIPR, in a statement made available to the Spectacles on Tuesday.
The statement reads, “Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau expressed dismay with the authorities of the Directorate of Lands for giving room for proliferation of illegal issuance of land allocation letters within the hospital surroundings to the extent of encroaching right into its original boundary where some unpatriotic individuals erected structures in the name of private residences within the premises of government property.
The Deputy Governor, therefore, directed for immediate revocation of all land allocation letters that affect original master plan of the hospital, and also instructed the Special Adviser Alhaji Idris Keta and Director Lands Alhaji Umar Gamagiwa to submit the master plan and other papers for the demolition of all illegal structures within and around the hospital for his approval.
Jarman Gusau further explained that the administration of Governor Bello Matawalle would not spare any one among both civil and public servants to convert public property into their personal belongings. He added that, as such, government would take drastic measures against anybody found wanting, and called on people to desist from collaborating with government officials into any process of documentation for ownership of any illegal property.
Senator Hassan Muhammad Jarman Gusau encouraged people in the State to contribute their quota especially in supporting good developmental policies and programmes, and assured the contractor of the State Government’s commitment to do the needful in mobilizing them back to site to resume work on the project for the benefit of the people in the State.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied at the visit by the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe Dan Isa, State Head of Service Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Gayari, Hon Commissioner for Information Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji Dosara and Special Adviser Alhaji Sani Danjuma Dambo, among many others.
