Notorious Zamfara Terrorist Dankarami Buries 15 Fighters After Deadly Clash With Troops

Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in Zamfara State have neutralized fifteen terrorists who were loyal to the notorious bandit leader, Dankarami.

According to the reports, the top commander of Dankarami, identified as Jarfa, was among the casualties.

The terrorists had attempted to attack Gidan Danjimma and Kirifada communities within Birnin-magaji Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday but were repelled by the troops in conjunction with local vigilantes.

Sources said that the bandits, in their large numbers, were conducting the burial of their deceased members at a graveyard in Mai Tsaba village under Zurmi local government area of the state.

A resident of Kirifada community stated that the bandits attacked the communities on Wednesday and troops were quickly mobilized, leading to the death of the 15 terrorists.

Reports also has it that according to the same source, an unspecified number of the bandits were wounded, including two of Dankarami’s top fighters, Freezer and No-Sulhu (No arbitration).

However, two soldiers and four local vigilante members sustained varying degrees of gunshot injuries during the operation.
