His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Hon Dr Bello Mohammed MON Matawallen Maradun, Barden Hausa, Shettiman Sokoto has today swore-in three more Special Advisers in the State.
The new Special Advisers are Barrister Abdurrasheed Haruna, Turaki Yahaya Mafara, and Ibrahim Muhammed Lugga.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Governor of Zamfara State, Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji and made available to the Spectacles on Friday, 10th February, 2022.
Speaking at the Swearing -in ceremony held at Council Chambers Government House Gusau, Governor Bello Matawalle said their appointments are based on the efforts of his Administration of constantly bringing capable hands on board in order for them to lend their contributions in providing robust and effective Leadership to our dear state.
Governor Bello Matawalle urged the new appointees to lend their wealth of experience and knowledge towards accomplishing the mission of his administration to restore peace in all parts of the State and address other development challenges confronting the state..
The Matawallen Maradun informed them that their role as Special Advisers is essentially to augment the role of the State Executive Council in order to add value and Credence to the Government, and at the same time to complement the efforts of his Administration in moving the State to the highest pinnacle of development.
The Governor also expressed confident that the people brought into his administration to serve in various positions, particularly as Commissioners, Special Advisers, and other political appointees, are people of proven integrity, pointing out that they will passionately work together to steer the ship of the leadership of the State to the promised land.
“Your total devotion to duty is non-negotiable and must be maintained at all times. Your people will closely watch you as representatives of the numerous communities that make up the State, therefore you must endeavour to always protect your personal integrity and that of the Government, at all costs, he charged.
The Governor used the occasion to congratulate people of the State, particularly the great APC family, on the issuance of a certificate of return to the State APC Chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani by the National leadership of the All Progressives Congress APC.
He said with this development, we are now in a position to move our party forward by forging ahead as one strong and united family, adding that this will further afford the government the opportunity to continue with the tradition of providing inclusive Governance at all levels.
The Shettiman Sokoto also expressed appreciation to the great friends of the State, political and community leaders from all over the country who have been coming over to commisserate with the state government and people over the tragic killings of innocent people in the state, and prayed Almighty Allah to help us in defeating banditry and related crimes.
The Governor used the medium to call on people of the Zamfara State to remain prayerful, especially at these awful and trying times, and assured of his administation’s determination to continue to do everything humanly possible to protect the lives and property of the people of the State.
The Oath of allegiance and Oath of office was administered by the State Chief Judge, Justice Kulu Aliyu.
All the new appointees as usual took separate special turns to swear with the Holy Qur’an that they do not nor will they have anything with bandits and armed banditry.
