The Wives of Kebbi and Zamfara State Governors, Hajiya A’isha Atiku Bagudu and Hajiya Balkisu Mohammad Bello Matawalen Maradun on Sunday, July 12, 2020 commissioned the class rooms at nomadic school in Ruggar Dikko Ummaru, Birgin Bagaye of Augie local government area. The palliatives of one hundred bundles of women wrappers, cartons of biscuits and indomie by wife of Zamfara State Governor were presented to the people of the settlements.
Speaking during the occasion, the wife of Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya A’isha Atiku Bagudu expressed happiness for the reception they enjoyed from the people of the Ruggar Ummaru and charged them to enroll their wards in the schools to acquire both western and Islamic knowledge when the schools are opened. She thanked wife of Zamfara State Governor, Hajiya Balkisu Mohammad Bello Matawalen maradun for the philanthropic assistance.
Similarly, in her remarks, the wife of Zamfara State Governor, Hajiya Balkisu Mohammad Bello expressed delight over reception by Her Excellency, Hajiya A’isha Bagudu and the Fulani communities in Birgin Bagaye. She said the palliatives aimed at cushioning their hardship occasioned by coronavirus pandemic. Balkisu Bello prayed Almighty Allah to sustain the relationship between the two states.
In his closing remarks, the Commissioner Ministry of Animal Health Husbandry and fisheries, Hon. Aminu Garba Dandiga commended the wives of the Governors for the gesture and said, “one day we will visit Zamfara state to see how far the traditional settings of your Rugga and other Fulani settlements” -Commissioner said.
In attendance at the visit, Chairman Augie local government, permanent Secretaries ministry of Education and Animal Health Husbandry and Fisheries, Hajiya Rufa’atu Garba Hammani and Hajiya Fati Sani Udu, Directors in the ministry of Animal Health as well as government officials among others.
