Zamfara Deputy Gov Called For Special Prayers For Peace In The State

His Excellency, the State Deputy Executive Governor, Alhaji Hassan Muhammad Gusau, has called on individuals and groups to organize special prayer sessions for peace in the State.

He made the call while receiving different individuals, groups, organisations and associations who converged at his office on a solidarity visit over his appointment as the new Deputy Governor of the State.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director General Press Affairs, Deputy Governor’s Office, Zamfara State, Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi ANIPR and made available to the Spectacles on Friday, 25th February, 2022.

The statement quoted the deputy governor as saying, “at this trial moment, the effort of the State Governor Dr. Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) in curtailing insecurity needs to be complemented by all and sundry through special prayers for restoration of peace”.

According to him, the present administration would continue to chart possible strategies in the fight against any form of criminal activities in the State towards restoration of security, peace and stability for sustainable socio-conomic development.

The Deputy Governor further expressed gratitude to the Allah for choosing him to serve his people in his present capacity as the State Deputy Governor. He further reassured to continue respecting the confidence reposed in him by the public as a grassroot politician, adding that he is ever ready to serve his people at all levels.

Senator Hassan reiterated the need for all to reciprocate the good gesture of Governor Matawalle especially repositioning the State for a better outlook unlike before, and also assured that, by Allah’s will, the security challenges would be a thing of the past all over the State.

Those received by the Deputy Governor include the respective managements of Zamfara State College of Arts and Science (ZACAS) under the leadership of the Provost Dr. Yakubu Sanusi Gusau, the State Ministry of Finance led by its Commissioner Hon Sufyanu Bashir Yuguda Gusau.

Others were representatives of the Office of the State Head of Service led by the Permanent Secretary Alhaji Yusuf Bakura, APC Elders led by Alhaji Sidi Taki Takwas, the State Secretaries Forum, a delegation from Ruwan Dorowa District, the State Fulani Association, Youth Groups, Zamfara State Kwankwasiyya Group, and Tudun-Wada APC executives led by the Ward Chairman Alhaji Balan Bayis, among many others.
