Zamfara Deputy Governor Paid Unscheduled Visit To Twelve MDA’S

In continuation with his unscheduled visit to MDAs in order to ascertain level of workers’ turn out to duties and also see for himself major and minor challenges being faced by the respective government offices with a view to finding lasting solutions for productivity, in the early hours of Thursday the 31st of March 2022 the Deputy Governor along with the Secretary to Zamfara State Government and State Head of Service stepped into Farida General Hospital Gusau. They were received by the Medical Director of the facility Dr Aminu Muhammad Nahuche.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi, ANIPR, Director General Press Affairs, Deputy Governor’s Office, Zamfara State and made available to the Spectacles today.

The Deputy Governor inspected some wards in the hospital before he proceeded to some other public places. Among those MDAs visited include Primary Healthcare Board, Housing Cooperation, Mass Education Board, Ministry of Forestry and Livestock Development, Teachers’ Service Board, Female Education Board, Directorate of Political Matters, Scholarship Board, Home Grown Feeding Agency, Directorate of Culture, and State and Local Government Pension Commission.

In all the visited MDAs most of whom are located at the Fifty Eight Housing Unit popularly known as Millennium Quarters, the turn out of directors and other category civil servants was very poor, while that of chief executives was appreciable.

Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau expressed concern over the attitude of most workers especially lateness to duty. The worst default is absenteeism being practiced by some others. They completely shy away from their official individual responsibility only to await salary alerts at the end of the month.

He called on workers to fear God and justify their salaries, while he directed all chief executives to ensure compliance and take appropriate measure against any body found wanting in the discharge of his official responsibility.

Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe and State Head of Service Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Gayari were in attendance throughout the exercise.
