Distinguished Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, Katsina north has dismissed the insinuation in some quarters that he (Senator Kaita) has dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
A statement by his special adviser on media, Mallam Lawal Abdullkadir says the rumor of Senator Kaita’s defection is fake in its entirety.
According to the statement, Senator Kaita remains a bona-fide APC member and a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria whose political affairs deserve more than mere social media speculation to confirm.
It notes that the borderless Senator as he is fondly called has a policy of reaching out to his constituents and beyond without consideration for party affiliation, hence his support base cutting across section of the people irrespective of party affiliation.
The statement advises members of the public to be wary of mischief makers whose stock in trade is bandying unfounded rumors to create unnecessary division
It adds that the people of Katsina State who need updates about Senator Kaita’s political or parliamentary affairs should do so via his verified social media handles or press releases by his Media Adviser.
