Easter: FRSC Embarks On Special Operation In Zamfara

Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Zamfara Sector Command, has deployed more personnel to strategic locations in Zamfara to ensure free flow of traffic during the period of Ramadan fast which coincides with the 2022 Easter celebrations.

The FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Iro Danladi, made the disclosure in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria in Gusau on Monday.

He said that the move had become necessary, considering the increase in traffic at the time, especially in evening hours.

Mr Danladi assured that the command’s standby rescue team would be ready to promptly respond to distress calls on cases of road crashes or road obstructions anywhere in the state.

He added that the three unit commands in Talata Mafara, Kaura Namoda and Tsafe had also been alerted to offer similar services during the special operation.

The sector commander added that the 10 station offices in the remaining local government areas in the state would concentrate on public education and enlightenment as well as reporting issues on the road for prompt response by the nearby command.

He reiterated the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property on the roads.
