The Appeal Court in Abuja has upheld the victory of Nasir Idris as Kebbi State Governor.
The petition filed by the PDP and its candidate, Maj.-Gen. Aminu Bande, was dismissed for lack of merit. Dr. Nasir Idris of the All Progressives Congress is declared the duly elected governor.
The tribunal ruled that the petitioner failed to substantiate allegations of forgery and non-compliance with the Electoral Act.
