Protesters Attack National Assembly, Demand Justice For Victims Of Drone Strike

Protesters have forcefully entered the premises of the National Assembly in Abuja, calling for justice for the victims of a drone strike that claimed the lives of over 90 villagers in Kaduna State on Sunday.

Led by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) North West Zone and the Arewa Youth Movement, the protesters besieged the entrance gate for more than two hours, chanting slogans and calling for the resignation of the Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru.

Recall that the drone attack occurred on Sunday during a Maulud celebration in Tudun Biri village, leaving over 60 people injured. The military has openly acknowledged its responsibility for the incident.

Addressing the media, Nasir Ishaku, the leader of NYCN North West Zone, condemned the killing of innocent Nigerians and demanded a thorough investigation into the incident.
