Tinubu Historic Landing: Maiduguri Erupts in Anticipation

Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, is immersed in jubilation as it eagerly anticipates the arrival of President Bola Tinubu for a one-day official visit. Scheduled for Monday, this marks the inaugural presidential visit to the state since Tinubu took office on May 29.

Tinubu’s agenda in Maiduguri encompasses significant events, including presiding over the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Conference. Additionally, he will unveil 107 vehicles, acquired by the Borno government for the state’s Mass Transit Company, Borno Express. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), this vehicle fleet comprises 10 luxurious buses, 35 coaster buses, 12 hummer buses, and 50 electric taxis.

During his stay, Tinubu is also slated to honor the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Garbai El-Kanemi, paying respects upon his arrival in Maiduguri.
