Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, formerly known as Kano State University of Science and Technology Wudil, is making strides in technological innovation by developing a robotic machine. This machine aims to support staff members in performing domestic chores such as cleaning, sweeping, and organizing within the institution.
Professor Musa Yakasai, the Vice Chancellor of the university, shared with the press that the robotic machine is designed to enhance the efficiency of staff in their daily tasks. The university’s management has actively embraced Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology to empower students in embracing global IT advancements.
The professor emphasized that the robot has undergone successful testing and is operational according to its intended design. Furthermore, the university is committed to creating various types of machines to alleviate the workload of the institution.
In addition to this technological development, Professor Yakasai highlighted the recent renovation of the university’s library. The upgraded facility has a seating capacity for over 500 students, fully equipped with internet connectivity and other IT resources.
While the university has successfully implemented a functional e-library, Professor Yakasai encourages students to maintain the traditional library system to foster an improved reading culture.
