Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has announced plans for collaboration between his administration and the government of Sweden to bolster the state’s economy across various sectors including mining, agriculture, renewable energy, education, and healthcare.
During a meeting with the Swedish Ambassador in Nigeria, Annika Hahn-Englund, at his office in Abuja, Governor Lawal expressed his commitment to fostering partnerships that would drive economic growth and development in Zamfara State.
In a statement released by the governor’s spokesman, Sulaiman Bala Idris, it was highlighted that the discussions during the ambassador’s visit centered on bilateral cooperation aimed at advancing mutual interests and implementing transformative projects for the benefit of the state’s residents.
The statement further revealed Sweden’s keen interest in collaborating with Zamfara State to establish enduring relationships and execute initiatives that would bring about positive change. Specifically, the Swedish envoy pledged to provide technical expertise in responsible mining practices, introduce modern agricultural techniques, develop renewable energy infrastructure, and extend support for enhancing education and healthcare services in the state.
