The State House Standing Committee on Public Service and Establishment has Expressed total dismay over the Non inclusion of Some Local and State Civil Servants who were removed from the Payroll.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Zamfara State House of Assembly, Bello Madaro Kurya said the Chairman of the Committee and Member Representing Maradun Two Honourable Maharazu Salisu Stated this Today when the Committee Paid an Oversight Visit to the Office of the State Head of Civil Service.
Honourable Maharazu Faru Said the Committee has been receiving number of Complaints from the affected Civil Servants regarding the Issue of non payment of their Salary for many Months.
The Committee Chairman advised Office of the State Head of Service to Work in ensuring that all genuine Civil Servants are Verified and Paid their Salaries.
Also Speaking, Members of the Committee Honourable Bashiru Aliyu Gummi, Honourable Nasiru Abdullahi Maru, Honourable Amiru Ahmad Keta and Honourable Halliru Abdullahi Kuturu Said though the issue may not be deliberate due to the Present Administration’s desire to Restructure the State Civil Service Policies, but there is need for the State Head of Service to ensure the inclusion of the affected Civil Servants to State Payroll.
Responding, the State Head of Civil. Service Barrister Ahmad Aliyu Liman Said Technical Committee Set Up by the State Government has already treated the issue, and his office is Working towards the implementation of the Report.
Barrister Ahmad Aliyu Liman also assured House of Assembly Standing Committee on Public Service and Establishment that all genuine Civil Servants will be Cleared to the Payroll base on the Committee’s Recommendations.
The State Head of Service also thanked the Committee for the Oversight Visit and assured of Working in Synergy for the development of the State.
Similarly, the Committee Paid an Oversight Visit to Local Government Pension Commission where it Supervised the Ongoing Verification Exercise for Retired Local Government Civil Servants.
The Committee Expressed Satisfaction with Conduct of the Verification Exercise and Charged the Committee to Continue with the good Work.
