Zamfara Internal Revenue Calls for Registration of Keke-Napep, Okada Vehicles

Operators of Keke -Napep and Okada in Zamfara state have been urged to ensure registration of their vehicles so as to avoid been harassed by the enforcement team of the state internal revenue service due to commence operation on Monday tenth June 2024.

In a statement issued by the public relations officer ZIRS, Sanusi Ibrahim S/yamma, said this was announced today by the executive chairperson of the service, Hajiya Rakiya Ahmed Dodo through the Director Information and Intelligence Gathering, Alhaji Hadi Bawa Gusau while speaking with newsman in Gusau the state capital.

The executive chairperson said, this became imperative considering the fact that, some disgruntled elements use to hide behind the business to carry out their criminal activities on innocent citizens in the society.

Hajiya Rakiya Ahmed Dodo further said, by this directive therefore, all operators of the said vehicles in the state are expected to register their vehicles immediately in order to avoid been fined by the enforcement team of the service that will commence it’s operation on Monday next week

The executive chairperson added that, the reason behind the introduction of this compulsory registration was to assist in the reduction of security challenges being experienced in the state.
