Bauchi NYSC Orientation Camp Relocated to New Site

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the relocation of the orientation camp for the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members to Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education in Kangere, Bauchi. This temporary move is to facilitate the rehabilitation of the Permanent Orientation Camp located in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area.

The NYSC Coordinator in Bauchi, Rifkatu Yakubu, made this announcement in a statement issued on Monday. She explained that the relocation is necessary to allow the state government to undertake a complete renovation of the existing camp structure, following directives from Governor Bala Mohammed.

“The relocation to the new facility is essential to enable the state government to proceed with the renovation of the permanent orientation camp,” Ms. Yakubu stated.

According to Ms. Yakubu, 1,900 prospective corps members have been deployed to Bauchi State for this orientation exercise, which is scheduled to run from August 28 to September 17.

She also advised the corps members to avoid traveling at night and to break their journeys when necessary, continuing the next day to ensure their safety.
