Bauchi State house of Assembly Assembly has described the cordial relationship between Executive arm of government and the Legislature as the secret behind achieving a meaningful development in any Democratic dispensation.
The Chairman house committee of information, Musa Wakili Nakwada made the assertion while fielding question to journalist at the Assembly complex in Bauchi.
Nakwada highlights some of the success recorded by the 10th Assembly which inaugurated on the 20th June 2023, noting so far over fourty motion have presented during the first term of the session.
“Most of the motion and matters of urgent public importance that deliberate on them during plenary will no doubt improve the socio economic growth and development of our constituents”.
The Lawmaker pointed out that, the 10th Bauchi state house of Assembly have achieved alot in the area of making legislation that touches the lives of the people of the State.
He said that only recently before the house went for recess, member representing Bauchi central constituency Jamilu Dahiru presented the motion calling on the Bauchi state government to provide a motor pack for heavy truck were thy can offload.
Musa Nakwada said that if the heavy trucks have their pack at the outskirts not passing through the city will reduce the rate of accident and gridlock in the metropolis.
While responding on scenario were motion can be prented on the flow of the house but nothing have been done on the part of the executive, he said motion is just an appeal or calling on the executive arm by Legislature but here in Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed has considered some of the motion.
“For example during the 9th Bauchi Assembly i presented the motion calling on the government to construct road at my constituency, Governor Bala has done that”.
On the synergy Between the duo, Nakwada said they are always working together to ensure development of the State above all their personal interest.
Bauchi State house of Assembly will resume plenary on 24th October 2023.
