ZSUBEB, Anka LG To Jointly Construct IDPs Camp For Enhanced Learning Environment

In a continuation of his state wide working visits to stakeholders, primary and junior secondary schools, Executive Chairman of Zamfara State Universal Education Board, (ZSUBEB), Prof. Nasir Garba Anka (Makama of Sokoto Sout), has paid courtesy calls on the Emir of Anka, Alh. Attahiru Muhammad (CON) at his Palace in Anka, and Anka Local Government Sole Administrator, Alh. Bashir Musa Anka in his office, Anka town.

In his remarks at the Emir’s Palace, and at the local government council, Prof. Anka said, the working visit was inline with the state Governor Dauda Lawal’s 6–point agenda, one of which is to revamp the education sector in the state, especially at the primary and junior secondary school Lelvels in the state.

According to him, the state givernmet had set up a State of Emergency on Education in the state.

“We are today in Anka local government to visit the primary schools and asses the level of their problems and to see where we can come in to address the rate of our of school children in the state “, said Prof. Anka.

He added that the board, in collaboration with Anka Local Government Council will do everything humanly possible to provide temporary shelter for refugees that are living inside primary schools, so that pupils can have enabling learning atmosphere.

The Exexutive chairman commended efforts of the Sole Administor of the local government for his giant efforts and initiative for the betterment of education in the area, calling on other local government Sole Administrators in the state to emulate him.

In their individual speeches, the Emir who doubles as the chairman of the state Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad CON and The Sole Administor, both commended the visiting Executive Chairman of ZSUBEB, Professor Nasir Garba Anka for his efforts at enhancing basic education in the state.

They further said, that the visit was timely considering the fact that Anka local government area has the highest number of refugees and most of them are living inside primary schools, adding that with this development , success is almost ascertained.

They calle on the people in the state to always put administration of Governor Dauda Lawali in prayers consdering his good ambition to the people in the state, especially on issues of insecurity and education.

On the working visits, Prof. Garba Anka was accompanied by his Perminant Members, Madawaki Dahiru Shehu, Alhaji Bala Aliyu, Rufa’i jibiril Muhammad, some of the board directors, Alhaji Garba Abdullahi, Director School Services, Q’s Aliyu Abdullahi Anka Director Works, Musa Almu Director Junior Secondary Schools, Nasiru Muhammad Anka, Director Special Programs and Sani Muhammad Jangebe Deputy Director Quality Assurance.

Some schools in Anka visited by the chairman during the tour Anka Township Model Primary Schools, NIZZAMIYA Model Primary School Anka, Sabongari Model Primary School Anka and Bobo Model Primary Schoo,l Talata Mafara, respectively..
