Kano Governor to Declare State of Emergency in Education

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, will declare a state of emergency in the education sector on Tuesday.

This initiative aims to ensure quality education for all in Kano and accelerate efforts to improve educational services.

The announcement was made in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Tofa, on Sunday.

Tofa stated, “The governor, fulfilling a crucial campaign promise outlined in his document titled ‘My Commitment for Kano,’ presented in 2022 ahead of the 2023 elections, is scheduled to declare a state of emergency on Tuesday.

“The declaration is intended to expedite actions to guarantee access to quality education for all in Kano.”

The event will bring together stakeholders in the education sector, including development partners, state and federal agencies, the Minister of Education, governors from other states, members of the academic community, and media representatives.
