The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, has passed away at the age of 56.
The news was confirmed in a statement issued on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President.
The statement read: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, regrets to announce the passing of Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff, at the age of 56.”
