The State Deputy Governor Distinguished Senator Hassan Muhammad Nasiha Gusau made the pronouncement during a special homage he paid to the Emir of Birnin ‘Yandoto and the entire people of the Emirate with whom he rejoiced over having the new Emirate approved by the present administration of Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle.

According to the Deputy Governor, the establishment of the new Emirate is timely and well-deserving to the community in the domain of Birnin ‘Yandoto.
Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau, while giving a brief historical background of ‘Yandoto, said initial settlers of the area were renowned Islamic scholars widely acknowledged for their steadfastness in the propagation of Islam across the whole of West African sub-region long before the reign of the Sakkwato Caliphate instituted by Sheikh Usman Bin Fodio.
Jarman Gusau congratulated the new Emir Alhaji Aliyu Garba Marafa over the upgraded status of ‘Yandoto into an Emirate and his appointment as its pioneer second class grade Emir.
While praying for Allah’s blessings with long life and prosperity to the Emir and his entire relations, the Deputy Governor also called on the Emir to carry everyone along in his domain, and be supportive of all Government policies and programmes.
Earlier speaking, the Emir of Birnin Yandoto Alhaji Aliyu Garba Marafa thanked the Deputy Governor and his entourage for the visit, and reassured his unalloyed support and co-operation to the State Government good policies and programs. He further reassured of his Emirate’s complimentary roles in sensitizing and enlightening his subjects on the need to always rally round the government at all levels whenever the need arose for enhancement of meaningful and sustainable development in all sections of the economy.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied by Distinguished Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa, Hon Sanusi Garba Rikiji, Gusau Local Government Sole Administrator Hon Sanusi Muhammad Sarki, Hon Ahmad Muhammad Bagu, Hon Nuhu Garba Rikiji, Hon Tukur Magami, and Hon Sani Danjuma Dambo, among many other personalities.
