Maru Emirate Concil Conferred Traditional Title To Wife Of Zamfara Dep Gov

Receiving a formal appointment letter today in his residence on behalf of his wife Hajiya Jummai Hassan Nasiha, the Deputy Governor gave a brief biography of the recipient of the traditional title, Her Excellency Hajiya Jummai Hassan Muhammad, saying she was born into the family of a renowned Islamic scholar Malam Aliyu Maru.

According to him, he was married to Hajiya Jummai for the past thirty-three years and since then, to date, the first Inna-Wuro of Maru Emirate has been passionately making everything humanly possible to project the very good image of her home town.

In a statement signed by the Director-General Press, Affairs, Deputy Governor’s Office, Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi, ANIPR, said Senator Hassan Muhammad Jarman Gusau described the nomination and confirmation of Hajiya Jummai as the first Inna-Wuro by the Emir of Maru, His Royal Highness Banaga Alhaji Muhammad Gado Maigari was timely considering her past and present contributions to the development of Maru Emirate and Maru Local Government Area.

He cited some shining examples patriotic gestures especially her academic performance through coming up with a write-up on the history of the Emirate titled MARU GARIN DOGO a popular book she authored, got it published and launched since before the creation of Zamfara State.

Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau further said, this was coupled with other golden opportunities she provided to the indigenous youths in the area.

The Gabdon Talatar Mafara, on behalf of himself as well as the families and well-wishers, thanked the Maru Emirate for considering his senior wife as worthy of occupying the traditional title of Inna-Wuro of Maru Emirate.

The Deputy Governor assured the Emir and good people of Maru Local Government of his continuous moral and financial support to the Inna-Wuro for her to succeed in her new responsibilities, and urged the first Inna-Wuro of Maru to ensure delivering to the expectations of the Emirate.

Speaking earlier while presenting the letter of appointment to the Deputy Governor, the Maru Emirates envoy Mallam Musa Suleman, on behalf of the Emir Banaga Alhaji Muhammad Gado Maigari explained to the Deputy Governor that the Emirate Council ensured a careful selection before arriving at the decision with the choice of Her Excellency Hajiya Jummai Hassan Nasiha Jarman Gusau.

In attendance at the occasion were the family members and relations of Jarman Gusau, representatives of Maru Emirate, among many others.
