UGRFP Urges NASS To Investigate Tinubu’s CSU Certificate

The United Global Resolve for Peace (UGRFP) has urged the National Assembly to conduct an investigation into the validity and authenticity of President Bola Tinubu’s educational qualification obtained from Chicago State University. The organization emphasizes that this investigation is not only a matter of justice but also a demonstration of commitment to the rule of law and transparency.

In a statement released on Thursday, Shalom Olaseni, the Chairman of UGRFP, articulated the need for addressing this issue promptly. He expressed concerns that leaving the matter unaddressed could tarnish Nigeria’s reputation both regionally and globally, and allowing the controversy to persist could have far-reaching implications.

Olaseni stated, “UGRFP calls upon the National Assembly, as the embodiment of Nigeria’s legislative authority, to approach this matter with the utmost seriousness. A thorough, impartial, and expeditious investigation is crucial not just for justice but also for upholding the principles of the rule of law and transparency.”

The group also cautioned against using this issue as a means to settle political scores against the President, emphasizing that Nigeria’s reputation, both at home and abroad, depends on the collective ability of its citizens to address the allegations surrounding President Tinubu’s certificate with absolute transparency and integrity.

UGRFP further called on President Tinubu to address the nation and provide ‘irrefutable evidence’ to validate the authenticity of his educational qualification obtained from CSU. They stressed that this step is imperative for maintaining trust and confidence in the nation’s leadership.
